SQL Server Tuning for High Performance (DBA focused)

August 11, 2006

Designing Scale-Out Applications with SQL Server 2005 (Developer focused)

SQLskills, in association with our friends at SQLServerFAQ.com, is proud to offer a special partner event in the UK, hosted in Reading, Berks. The event will be in two parts: a 3-day intense, hands-on application performance tuning workshop; followed by a one-day seminar that explores new, scalable application architectures.

For the first three days, you will focus on advanced tuning techniques for database professionals. You will explore index internals, statistics, query optimizations, methodologies for analyzing performance problems and techniques for optimizing procedural code. This intense and focused event will be led by SQLskills Founder, Kimberly L. Tripp. Kimberly is a globally-recognized trainer, author of several SQL Server white papers and the top-rated SQL Server speaker at the TechEd, IT Forum, SQLPass and SQL Connections technical conferences.

For the final day, Bob Beauchemin will drill into new developer and database administrator strategies to create more scalable database application architectures using a service oriented database approach. Bob Beauchemin, Director of Developer Skills, is a well known development trainer, consultant and author of the popular Developers Guide to SQL Server 2005, now in it second edition.

All four days reference the latest SQL Server technologies and are designed to take your SQL Server skills to the next level through a combination of lectures, demos and labs. In only four days, you will vault over several months of self-paced learning and be ready for more scalable applications.

These events will give you the skills to design, architect and implement some of the more complex features related to scalability and tuning. The specific titles and event details are:
