In reply to Nidhi. The date that shows up in SELECT @@VERSION is the actual date and time that Microsoft compiled the SQL Server binary. The release date for the CU is when Microsoft released the CU to the public, after they did their testing and documentation.

Testing CU5 install on SQL 2012 and am a bit confused the date is showing up as Feb 27th 2015 instead of March 16th 2015, Am I missing something?
