{"id":4491,"date":"2015-04-23T14:03:42","date_gmt":"2015-04-23T21:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/3.209.169.194\/blogs\/paul\/?p=4491"},"modified":"2017-04-13T11:40:40","modified_gmt":"2017-04-13T18:40:40","slug":"sqlintersection-coming-up-in-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sqlskills.com\/blogs\/paul\/sqlintersection-coming-up-in-may\/","title":{"rendered":"SQLintersection coming up in May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re just about to leave for three weeks of Immersion Events in Chicago, starting next week, and if that wasn&#8217;t enough, we&#8217;ve got our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/devintersection.com\/SQL-Conference\/\" target=\"_blank\">Spring 2015 SQLintersection conference<\/a> right after that!<\/p>\n<p>This time we&#8217;re in Scottsdale (Phoenix), Arizona (May 18-21), which I&#8217;m really looking forward to as I&#8217;ve never been to Arizona (it&#8217;ll be the 23rd State I&#8217;ve visited).<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve got a fantastic speaker line-up as usual, with Brent Ozar, Allen White, Aaron Bertrand, Kevin Kline, SQL CAT team members Shep Shephard and Denzil Ribeiro, SQL PFEs David Pless and Tim Chapman, and four of us from SQLskills (me, Kimberly, Erin, and Tim).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be doing my favorite\u00a0pre-con workshop on Performance Troubleshooting using\u00a0Waits and Latches, plus there are other workshops from Brent Ozar, Kimberly, and Allen White. We&#8217;ve also got four tracks of <a href=\"https:\/\/devintxcontent.blob.core.windows.net\/showcontent\/site\/SQLint_Sp15_Schedules.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">sessions<\/a>, including three from me:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transaction Log Performance<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Data Recovery Techniques<\/li>\n<li>DBA Mythbusters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s been five years since I last put together a mythbusters session so plenty of new myths to bust :-)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m really looking forward to the conference and hope to see you there!<\/p>\n<p>Cheers<\/p>\n<p>PS We&#8217;ll be running out SQL After Dark evening quiz bowl and raffle again &#8211; that was a blast when we did it last time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re just about to leave for three weeks of Immersion Events in Chicago, starting next week, and if that wasn&#8217;t enough, we&#8217;ve got our\u00a0Spring 2015 SQLintersection conference right after that!
