\nYes, it's that time again. We've just completed the Spring show so its time to start planning for the Fall 2010 show. Once again Kimberly and I will be Co-Chairs of the Conference and we'd like to invite you to submit abstracts for the Fall 2010 SQL Connections conference, to be held in Las Vegas, November 1st – 5th, 2010.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\nYes – there was no call for abstracts for the Spring show – at the request of the conference organizers the speakers were selected from the Fall 2009 lineup.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe conference will focus heavily on SQL Server 2008. Abstracts are still welcome on best practices for SQL Server 2005 and how to upgrade and migrate applications from SQL Server 200x to SQL Server 2008. However, we will consider all topics – from design to performance to troubleshooting to architectures to programming. Also, we're likely to closely follow our past conference format with three primary themes\/tracks: Infrastructure and Scalability, Programming, and Business Intelligence. You should aim for the intermediate to advanced audience for any SQL Server 2005 materials and for SQL Server 2008 we'll consider any level – especially depending on the newness of the release.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\nFor submitting session abstracts, please use this URL:

\nThe tool will be open from now until to April 26th (yes, just one week!), after which we won't accept any abstracts – no exceptions. If you have used this site before and have forgotten your password, you can have your secret word mailed to you. It's better to do this then to create a new account.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\nPlease keep the abstracts under 200 words<\/u><\/strong> each and in one paragraph<\/u><\/strong>. Please do not use<\/u><\/strong> bulleted items or line breaks, and please use a spell-checker<\/u><\/strong>. If you have an issue with the site, please follow up with an email to <\/font>paul@sqlskills.com<\/font><\/a>. Comments are disabled for this post.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\nPlease create a new speaker record (if you haven't submitted before) and submit at least 3 abstracts<\/u><\/strong>; however, it will help your chances of being selected if you submit 5 or 6 abstracts. Please do not submit abstracts for sessions that you have previously presented at the Fall show.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\nWhat you will get if selected:
\n– $500 per conference talk. (Additional compensation for pre\/post conference workshops.)
\n– Coach airfare and hotel stay paid by the conference
\n– Free admission to all of the co-located conferences
\n– Speaker party
\n– The adoration of attendees
\n– etc.
\n
