Our Christmas Gift To You: Paul and Kimberly Singing!

We'd like to thank you all for reading all our stuff all year, for coming to our classes and conference sessions, and for being our friends.

So to say thank you (and to torture you!) I wrote some SQL – Christmas carols and persuaded Kimberly to join me in the fun.

And so we present A SQLskill Christmas Medley – one minute of our dreadful singing to you all. The sound quality isn't fabulous as it was spur-of-the-moment in the kitchen on a laptop rather than on our recording gear, but I like that.

Download it by clicking HERE (2.5MB WAV, 1 minute)

Merry Christmas and our very best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year!

PS This is why our company name is not SingingSkills… if you listen carefully you can hear Kimberly starting to laugh as I start my solo rendition of Silent Night :-)

  1. Thank you for all that you do! With the two of you’ll sharing your knowledge of SQL via blogs/articles, you’ll have saved my butt more this year that you can possible realize!

  2. Thanks everyone. I still can’t believe he convinced me to record my singing voice but it was in great fun. His words for Silent Night were awesome!! I think that’s going to become a holiday classic for sure.

And, it’s because of all of you – and this FANTASTIC SQL community that we’re all still having fun (and don’t care about being recorded in our singing voice ;-)…

We wish you all a wonderful holiday and we hope we can save more butts in 2011.

    Cheers!
    Kimberly (and Paul)

  3. You know, I’m a firm believer in "It’s the thought that counts."

Thanks to you both for the holiday greetings, and for all the wonderful information you give to the world. You’ve made my job interviews a great experience.
